Muckers Golfer Shot’s Season low 79

Tonopah High School Sophomore Golfer Tanner Otteson shot 7 over 79 at the White Pine (Ely NV) Invitational and took the third place medal.

This is a season low for the Muckers golf team and the first score in the 70’s for the golf program since 2010 when his brother Denver Otteson did it.

He also shot the score in 23 deg. weather with 25 mile an hour gusts at Ely.

He was beat by the Nevada State Champion from White Pine Chris Young who shot 77 and a Battle golfer who fired a 78, both seniors.

“He shot a great round of golf for our team, he had two birdies in the round to help keep his score low” “It is a great accomplishment to shot that low of a score as a sophomore, we are very proud of him” said Robert Otteson (Head Coach and his father)
