Nordic Dry Land Training Instructor: Nancy Fiddler, local Olympian Get your mind and body ready for cross country skiing this winter with technique, strength, plyometrics, and aerobic training. Participants need running shoes and attire, short ski poles (preferably old nordic poles, about sternum high), water bottle (with holster is best), and a towel or mat for strength training. CPR/AED Certification Course Instructor: Rob Deforrest Heartsaver® CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills. The CSA 1 is offering these classes to the public. Anyone can attend but those residents living in the district can attend free of charge.
If you live Northwest of the Geothermal Plant and South of Sunnyslopes/Tom’s Place then you reside outside of the district and will be required to pay a nominal fee of $5 per class.
All classes are held at the Crowley Lake Community Center unless noted otherwise.
