Countdown: 3 Days

Bishop Union HS Football in 3 days

The Bronco Varsity hit the field Friday night at 7pm for a showdown with Whittier Christian.  The game will be broadcast live on AM 1230 KBOV and available through the listen live link here at kibskbov.com.  Rock Baker and Arnie Palu will have the call.

The Bishop JV will open the season Friday with a game against Carson City.  Whittier Christian is not bringing a JV so Carson City was picked up to fill the void.  The JV game is set for a 4pm start.

The Broncos and Hearlds met last year at Whittier College with the Hearlds winning the game on the field, but later forfeiting the game due to playing an ineligible player.

Today’s Countdown focus is on former Bronco #3 Clyde McCoy.  Clyde started in the Bronco secondary in 2014 and was inserted into the starting quarterback position for the playoff game at Corcoran.  McCoy showed his athleticism and versatility in the spring of his senior year playing baseball for the Broncos earning 2nd team All High Desert League Honors.  Playing high school baseball for the first time as a senior, McCoy hit .333 while holding down a spot in the Bronco outfield.
