Hello my name is Sherry Hooper, and I am the new commanding officer for The Salvation Army here in Bishop.

hooper-sherry

I started going to the Salvation Army when I was thirteen years old, and fell in love with it. I have served in the ministry through The Assembly’s of God, as well as the Salvation Army.
This past June, after two years of attending the school for officers training, I received my AA in Ministerial, and  Ordination of Pastoral in the Salvation Army.  I am very blessed and count it a privilege to be serving the people of the Bishop community.

KIBS AND KBOV RADIO IS PROUD TO PRESENT ITS 19TH ANNUAL SALVATION ARMY COATS FOR KIDS DONATION DRIVE! PLEASE DONATE NEW OR GENTLY USED COATS FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES. PLEASE DONATE DIRECTLY TO THE SALVATION ARMY OFFICE AT 621 WEST LINE STREET IN BISHOP TODAY THROUGH DECEMBER 16TH.

NO ONE SHOULD SUFFER FROM THE COLD WEATHER. THANK YOU FROM KIBS-KBOV RADIO AND THE SALVATION ARMY!

The Bishop Salvation Army needs your help and your groceries! Your donations of canned fruits, mac & cheese as well as chili, canned pastas like ravioli, pasta sauce, and soup and crackers are greatly appreciated and needed! Canned meats such as tuna fish, vienna sausage, and spam are a big help as well. Please bring all donations to the Salvation Army in The Town and Country Center on West Line Street. Bishop Salvation Army, doing the most good, help them stock up those groceries!
