WHY AREN’T BISHOP’S FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS OPENED INSIDE?

IN N’ OUT IS NOT IN BISHOP, but we wish it were . . .

UPDATED 10/15/20)

Bishop fast food connoisseur, teenaged Chase Hernandez, updated us on the openings as of 10/15/20. Inyo County has allowed restaurants to open for inside seating up to 50% capacity, with provisions and sanitizing for several weeks now.

OPEN for Inside Dining: Carls, Jr.,El Pollo Loco, Taco Bell

STILL CLOSED for Inside Dining: McDonalds, Jack in the Box, KFC

So why are some fast food restaurants only open for take out or drive thru? Could be they laid off a bunch of employees when COVID hit and now have to try to hire them back? Could be they don’t have staff (nor want to take the time ) to sanitized tables between customers? Could be because corporate head honchos have no idea what the restrictions are locally? Either way . . .  the fast food places are losing big bucks. Diners are flocking to local mom & pop-owned restaurants.
