Reno Man dies in Sunday Crash North of Bishop

Rider Dies after Vehicle vs. Motorcycle collision

A 68-year old Reno man sustained fatal injuries Sunday when his 2012 Harley Davidson collided with a Nissan on highway 395 north of Bishop.  The mans name is begin withheld pending notification of next of kin.  The Sunday afternoon collision occurred just minutes after 3pm on highway 395 at Pine Creek Road.  The California Highway Patrol indicates the collision remains under investigation.

“On Sunday, April 17, 2016, at approximately 15:15 hours a fatal injury traffic collision occurred on US-395 southbound at Pine Creek Road.  A motorcyclist was traveling southbound on US-395 within the #2 lane and was approaching the intersection with Pine Creek Road.  (43-year old Bishop resident) Amy Greve Dutton was driving a 2005 Nissan Armada and was traveling westbound on Pine Creek Road at the intersection with US-395.  For unknown reasons, Greve Dutton failed to observe the motorcycle traveling southbound on US-395 as she traveled trough the intersection.  Subsequently a broadside traffic collision between the two vehicles occurred.  The motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle (2012 Harley Davidson) and sustained fatal injuries.  This traffic collision is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.”
