Big Pine High School Softball Coach Bob Church entered Tuesdays Hi-Lo League game with a solid pitching plan.  Church wanted Gena Lewis to work the first half the of game and then bring in Aurora Toledo to close.  Those plans were scrapped as the Big Pine offense put the game into mercy rule territory as Lewis held Trona hit-less.  Big Pine built a 11-0 lead after three innings and Lewis completed the no-hitter.  Coach Church, “I was originally going to throw Gena only three of four innings and then get Aurora Toledo some time pitching, but it’s not very often a young lady has an opportunity to throw a no-hitter.  Gena had good command of her pitches.  Aurora will get plenty of work Wednesday.”  Big Pine softball will host Coleville today (Wednesday, April 20th) at 3pm.
