Lone Pine Girls Basketball wins CIF playoff game

The Lone Pine Golden Eagles hit the road Thursday night traveling to Lucerne Valley.  Lone Pine brought home a 45-30 CIF playoff win.  Freshman Shelby Chavez poured in a team high 19 points.  The Golden Eagles survive and advance setting up a second round home game Saturday night.  The win advances Lone Pine into the sweet 16 of the CIF Southern Section Ford Division 5A championships.  Lone Pine will play host to Liberty League Co-Champs Holy Martyrs Armenian School of Encino.  Saturday nights second round game will tip off at 7pm at Lone Pine High School.
