High Desert League play begins in 7 days.  The Bishop Union High School Varsity Girls have a HDL title to defend.  Thursday night the Broncos made quick work of the Mammoth Huskies in their final pre-league tune up.  While the Varsity Girls were winning 42-6, the Junior Varsity teams traveled to Boron for non-league games with the Bobcats.  Both Bishop JV teams returned home winners.

All four Bishop Union High School Basketball teams open High Desert League play on Friday, January 15th.  Rosamond will make the trip to Bishop with games set to begin at 3:00 and 4:30 for JV’s with the varsity action at 6:00 and 7:30.  The Varsity boys game will be broadcast live on AM 1230 KBOV and here at kibskbov.com through the listen live link.

Coaches Comments, “It was a really good game, Boron hung in there with us the first half and then we started pulling away in the second half.  We were getting more fast breaks and our shots started falling in. Overall it was a pleasure to play against Boron.” Coach Tammy Spoonhunter
