Bishop Union High School Tennis takes on Rosamond

BUHS coach Patty Cummings reports that the Broncos fell to Rosamond Tuesday.  The Broncos and Roadrunners tied 9-9 with Rosamond winning in total games, 81-76.
According to Cummings, Bishop’s Lily Mc Grale played singles winning two, 6-1 and 6-2, while falling  4-6. Josie Dillard won two also, 6-4 and 7-5, and dropping one.  Senior Katrina Biehl won two and dropped one by scores of  4-6,  6-4,  and 6-1  to give the broncos 6 wins on the singles side.
Playing doubles for the day the team of Ivy Means and Caroline Hagopian struggled a little losing 3-6 and 1-6 then winning 6-4. The doubles team of Nora Cimino and Cayley Dishion lost 2-6 and 0-6. Madi Tomasek and Molly foster were able to split sets losing 2-6 then coming back and winning 6-4.   MacKenzie Brown and Sam Hess easily won their set 6-2 and Ramneet Kaur and Evelyn Lopez lost 4-6.
Next up the Broncos will host rival Kern Valley Thursday at the Bishop City Park.  Action begins at 2pm.
