Bishop Youth Football Div 2 goes to 3-0

Bishop Division 2 beats Rim of the World

The Bishop Youth Football Division 2 team increased their record to 3-0 in the Sierra Youth Football League with a win against Rim of the World In Bishop on Saturday. The game started slow with a few turnovers but Bishop scored first with a 12 yard run by Kenyan Piper. After a Rim of the world score, The youth Broncos answered back with a 2 yard punch into the end zone by Cain Omohundro and a PAT reception by Colt Matteson making it 13 to 6. The defense made some key stops and sacks by Jarred Lomatiwa and Kennedy Batchelder. Finally in the fourth quarter the youth Broncos put the game away with a 20yrd TD run by Colt Matteson and a PAT kick by Reece Marsh to win the game 21-6.

Bishop Youth finished with 187 yards of total Offense.
Rushing was led by Colt Matteson with 56 yards on 5 attempts with a TD score and PAT reception.
Kenyon Piper had 42 yards on 6 attempts a TD run.
Jacob Redman had 34 yards on 8 attempts and went 2-5 throwing the football for 5 yards.
Cain Omohundro had 26 yards on 5 attempts a TD run.
Defense was led by Cain Omohundro with 7 tackles and a forced fumble.
Kennedy Bathcelder had 6 tackles a sack and fumble recovery.
Jared Lomatiwa had 7 tackles and 3 sacks.
