Bishop Basketball travels to Tonopah
The Bishop Union High School Basketball teams traveled to Tonopah Nevada Monday night (January 12th) for a full set of games with the Muckers. Bishop returns home with three wins picking up victories in both boys games and girls varsity.
The Varsity Boys used a great second half defensive effort winning 60-41. Head Coach Mark Olsen indicates the Broncos led 16-9, after the 1st quarter and 35-23 at the half. Olsen says, ” The Bronco defense came together out scoring the Muckers 17-4 in the 3rd quarter taking a 52-27 lead heading into the 4th quarter. All eleven Broncos that made the trip saw playing time.”

The Bishop Girls Varsity won 51-19. The Bronco girls opened up a 37-14 halftime lead and cruised to victory.
