Mammoth Opens DML play at Mojave

Mammoth Baseball Dominates Mojave

The Mammoth Huskies traveled to Mojave on Tuesday to open Desert Mountain League play.  The Huskies coming off back to back playoff appearances return a lineup of 2 seniors, 4 juniors, and 5 sophomores.

In game one,  Eriko Guzman took the mound and gave up only a lead off single, while striking out 7, allowing  2 walks and no runs over four innings.  Mason Forsythe pitched the 5th inning with no runs and 2 strikeouts.  Mammoth scored 3 runs in the each of the first thee innings, adding a pair of runs in the 4th and a five spot in the fifth inning on the way to a 16-0 win.  Guzman moves to 1-1 on the season.

In game two the Huskies were the designated home team and sent Charlie Regelbrugge to the mound setting down Mojave 1,2,3 and then the Dawgs took over once again scoring 11 runs in the bottom of the 1st in route to a 16-0 win.  Regelbrugge picks up the win with 3 innings pitched, 6 strikeouts, 0 runs on 0 hits.  Barrett Calvin worked the 4th inning allowing no runs on no hits and striking out 2. Dylan Martin finished off the game pitching the final inning allowing no runs on 1 hit, striking out 3.

“I give a ton of credit to the pitchers for consistently throwing strikes.  Coach John Martin and his staff were well prepared yielding only 4 walks and 2 hits in 10 innings while striking out 20.”  Coach Scott Luke

Mammoth Honoring Coach Greene

Former Coach Regan Greene will be honored Friday

On Friday, October 9, the Mammoth Huskies Football Team takes on one of their league rivals, the Boron Bobcats, at Gault McClure Stadium.  In addition, the Huskies will recognize their longtime baseball coach, Regan Greene, for his years of contributions to the Mammoth Huskies and surrounding athletes and programs.


In 2014, Coach Greene was inducted into the CIF Southern Section Hall of Fame.  Mammoth High School is proud to retire Coach Greene’s jersey #6, and share appreciation for his service to their kids over his 25 years of coaching. The ceremony will take place during halftime of the Friday,  October 9th game vs. Boron.  Mammoth school officials encourage all who can, to attend this celebration of one of the finest Huskies we’ll ever know!

Wednesday Diamond Recap

Bishop goes 2-1-1 Wednesday

Three of the four baseball and softball teams at Bishop Union High school took to the diamond Wednesday.  The varsity softball team spit it’s doubleheader with Washington Union, the JV softball team beat Mammoth, and JV baseball tied Mammoth 5-5.  All four Bishop Union High School teams will be in action this weekend at the Yerington Tournament.
