Bronco Football Tonight

BUHS football hosts ACA

The Bishop Union High School varsity football teams hosts Arrowhead Christian Academy tonight (Friday, September 18th).  Kickoff is set for 7pm with the game broadcast live on AM 1230 KBOV in the greater Bishop area and streamed live here at kibskbov.com.  Rock Baker and Arnie Palu will have the call.

Last year the Broncos and Eagles played to a 22-15 final with ACA coming out on top.  Senior Quarterback Bradley Mowbray ran for three touchdowns as ACA overcame a 9-7 halftime deficit.  ACA is under the direction of Bishop Union High School graduate and former Bronco assistant coach John Beck.  Beck will not make the trip to Bishop tonight as he is recovering from complications of a recent surgery.  Beck coached on the BUHS staff on two seperate occasions, most recently during the 2008 season.

Bishop Union enters the game with a 1-2 record coming off an impressive win last week at Mammoth.  ACA enters the game with a 2-1 record coming off a devastating loss to 29 palms, falling 50-10.  Bishop Union and ACA share one common opponent, Bishop Union lost in their opening game to Whittier Christian 21-16 while ACA beat the Hearlds 57-21.
