An Introduction with Lt. Sherry Hooper

Hello my name is Lt. Sherry Hooper, and I am the new commanding officer for The Salvation Army here in Bishop.

I started going to the Salvation Army when I was thirteen years old, and fell in love with it. I have served in the ministry through The Assembly’s of God, as well as the Salvation Army.
This past June, after two years of attending the school for officers training, I received my AA in Ministerial, and  Ordination of Pastoral in the Salvation Army.  I am very blessed and count it a privilege to be serving the people of the Bishop community.

KIBS and KBOV Radio and the Bishop Kmart are once again teaming up with the Salvation Army for the 13th Annual “Coats for Kids” donation drive! Please donate both new or gently used coats for kids of all ages at the Bishop Kmart. With each donation, enter free drawings, no purchase necessary. Other coat drop offs include the Suddenlink office, Bishop Nursery, and Carl’s Jr. in Lone Pine and Mammoth Lakes. No child should suffer from the cold…please donate to the 13th annual KIBS-KBOV Salvation Army “Coats for Kids” drive today!
