Broncos Rebound From Rosamond Loss-Dominate Against Desert

The Bishop Broncos traveled to Edwards Air Force Base on Tuesday to face Desert in League play.

In the Boys Varsity game, the Broncos took early lead 2-0 into bottom of first and Desert answered with two runs in the bottom of first.

In the top of the second the Broncos took the lead 4-2 after Beal and Rosga scored.  In the top of the third inning the Bronco bats came to life as the Broncos would score 9 runs on five hits to increase the lead 13-2. The scorpions were able to get one back in the bottom of the third.

Heading into the fourth inning, with the Bronco’s leading 13-3 the bronco bats remained hot as the Broncos would cross the plate 8 times and take a 21-3 lead off 6 hits.

The Broncos continued scoring in the top of the fifth inning including a home run by Mike Molina who sent one over the left field fence.

The Scorpions were unable to score any runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and e game was called after the Scorpions third out.

The Broncos sent three pitchers to the mound starting with Matthew Rosga. Hunter Beal came took over on the mound in the third inning and Cal Omohundro finished the game.

The Broncos won the game with a final score of 25-3. The Broncos improve their league record to 2-1 and 7-4-1 overall.
