BRONCO BASEBALL VS KERN VALLEY

The Bishop Broncos stay undefeated at home with a 31-1 trouncing of Kern Valley.  Don’t let the score fool you, it was a close game…….after the 1st inning. The Bronco boys only scored 2 runs in the first.

It took the varsity kids one inning to adjust to the “slower” velocity of KV pitching. Head coach Steve Omohundro was preaching patience from the first pitch and his team  listened. 9 runs in the second inning, 10 runs in the 3rd and 10 more in the 4th. Wow !!

Going beast mode at the plate on this fine afternoon was Bronco catcher Lorenzo Parra.  When not getting beaned by opposing pitchers, this kid can hit….Who knew ? Parra was knocking the seams out of the baseball at every plate appearance, going 4 for six with 10 RBI’s and hitting for the cycle.
