The Big Pine High School Girls basketball team wrapped up the Hi-Lo league title with a 47-17 win at Trona on Friday, February 5th. Coach Bob Church is quick to credit the Warriors great team defense as Big Pine limited Trona to just 4 second half points. The win improves Big Pine’s record to 11-4 overall and 7-0 in the Hi-Lo League.
“The girls played with a lot of heart and didn’t get caught up in Trona’s rough play. Also, again our girls had great fan support from the Big Pine locals making the trip. We really want to thank them!”
Big Pine is #9 in this weeks Division 6, CIF-Southern Section Girls Basketball rankings. Big Pine celebrates senior night tonight (Tuesday, February 9th) hosting Immanuel Christian. The Girls game tips off at 5pm with the boys following at 6:30.
